1. Introduction

People Intouch B.V. ("SpeakUp", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to transparency about how we collect and use data on www.speakup.com (the "Website"). This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar tracking technologies we use, why we use them, and what choices you have.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides further detail on how we process personal data. SpeakUp is registered in the Netherlands and is subject to Dutch and EU data protection law.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include HTML Local Storage, IndexedDB, and pixel trackers — these are referenced collectively as "cookies" throughout this policy.

Cookies can be distinguished by:

  • Origin — first-party (placed by SpeakUp directly) vs. third-party (placed by external providers whose functionality is embedded on the Website).
  • Duration — session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) vs. persistent cookies (retained for a set period).
